Osama bin Laden offers refuge to Julian Assange

Osama bin LadenJulian Assange, the subject of an Interpol “red notice”, has been offered refuge by Osama bin Laden.  For the past nine years, bin Laden has successfully eluded capture.

Assange is wanted in Sweden for the alleged rape and sexual harassment of two Swedish women.  Assange has denied the charges, stating “they wanted me.”  He is believed to be hiding in Britain.  As the founder of WikiLeaks, Assange has leaked confidential documents that have caused great embarrassment to the U.S. government.  Although not aligned with Assange, bin Laden is said to admire the damage WikiLeaks has caused to the United States’ credibility, most recently documents related to the arrest of Percy Cummings.

Asked to comment on bin Laden’s offer to Assange, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated that if Assange takes shelter with bin Laden, he would be subject to assassination.  “If Assange is even thinking about taking up with bin Laden, we’ll take him out with a Predator drone.  The British government has already given us the green light,” Clinton added.
