Determined not to stand by while his wife fights childhood obesity with her “Let’s Move” campaign, President Obama has targeted obesity among whites.  The goal of the “Rhythm Project” is not only to reduce the waistlines of white Americans, but also to promote racial harmony.  “If I can instill some rhythm in white folk, then I will be able to secure my legacy”, Obama told a group of reporters.  “Racial harmony and reduced obesity rates will follow.”

Funding for the Rhythm Project is coming from the recently passed health care reform bill.  The General Accounting Office has estimated that the campaign will eventually reduce the Federal debt by $50 billion over the next 10 years.
