Governor Christie pondering run for NAAFA presidency

Governor Chris Christie

Forget a run for President of the United States.  Governor Chris Christie has created an exploratory committee with hopes of becoming president of the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance, or NAAFA.  Feeling that this country is not ready for a morbidly obese Commander-in-Chief, New Jersey’s corpulent governor has set a less ambitious goal.

“I’m a glutton, but that does not disqualify me from holding the highest office in the land.  However, voters aren’t ready for a fat man running this country,” Christie mused at a luncheon recently.  “As NAAFA’s president, I will lobby for a Constitutional Amendment giving protection to fat people.”  Christie plans to host town halls at local buffets for NAAFA chapters throughout the country in hopes of securing votes.

Political pundits theorize that Governor Christie is ultimately trying to secure the fat vote for the 2016 Presidential election.  According to recent estimates, approximately 65% of American adults are overweight or obese.
